Join two of our skilled female guides on this women-only kayaking trip into the Georgian Bay UNESCO biosphere. Surrounded by over 30,000 islands our group will head out to Franklin Island from Snug Harbour. You will meet your guides at 10AM at Snug Harbour on Georgian Bay for your orientation. At Gilly’s Marina, your guides will teach you how to load your own sea kayak with your personal gear as well as some group gear. When everyone is ready to go, just imagine the feeling of gliding out towards the glacier smoothed granite islands covered in wind-swept pines. OSKC will fully outfit your trip so that all you need to bring is your own clothing and a sleeping bag. A full packing list of suggested items will be sent to you.
Your group will be camping on Franklin Island or one of the smaller islands that surround it. During the trip you will get to explore many Georgian Bay islands, and swim in crystal clear freshwater, all while keeping an eye out for birds like Sandhill Cranes, Eagles, Osprey and numerous song birds. In the evening sit in your comfortable camp chair which we provide and watch the sunset as you eat a delicious meal prepared by your guides.
A day-by-day plan to guide your journey ahead. Just keep in mind that it may change due to weather or group needs.

Amazing trip. One of the most beautiful parts of the country, and how better to see and explore it than in a kayak? Great company. Fabulous food, and abundant fish. One of the true remaining wilderness experiences in Canada, far away from civilization. Rugged, unspoilt landscape where we could trace billions of years of history in the rocky cliffs and also spot a few bears.
