Course Type
Paddle Canada Level 1 Sea Kayak Skills Course
Level-1 is a two-day course that moves participants beyond flatwater kayaking and into the sport of sea kayaking. The course is aimed at developing paddler's comfort in class-1 waters. There is a strong focus on re-entry techniques as well as the skills required to safely plan and execute a day trip with friends (for example, navigation & route planning, weather interpretation, proper clothing/gear.)

Paddle Canada Level-1 Instructor Course
Becoming a Paddle Canada instructor allows you to teach insured and certified kayaking courses anywhere in Canada.
Paddle Canada Level 2 Instructor Course
Level 2 instructor is the last instructor certification you can take in a course format. From here upwards the instructor stream works on a mentorship structure. This is an involved course that should be considered by level 1 instructors will the recommended amount of experience.
Paddle Canada Rolling Instructor
Becoming a Paddle Canada rolling instructor allows you to teach insured and certified kayaking courses anywhere in Canada.
Wilderness First Aid
This year we are hosting a Wilderness First Aid course with Wilderness Medical Associates. For any outdoors enthusiast having these skills could prove essential. This course is recommended as a prerequisite to taking your Paddle Canada Level 2 skills course.
Wilderness Advanced First Aid
This is an entry-level course designed for professionals working in significantly remote settings for days or weeks.
Wilderness First Responder
Taking a Wilderness Medical course is highly recommended as you work your way through the Paddle Canada curriculum. It is also just a great skill set to have when traveling into the wilderness in case, in the case of an accident, you need to take care of each other until further help can arrive.
Wilderness First Responder Bridge/Re-certification
This four-day course is a recertification for those that already have the Wilderness First Responder certification. Recertification is required every three years. This course can also be used as a bridge course after taking your Wilderness Advanced first aid course in order to achieve the First Responder level.
