It all started when a coworker convinced him to sign up for a kayak course — one paddle stroke was all it took to get hooked. From that moment on, he dove headfirst into the world of kayaking, exploring every challenge and thrill it had to offer.
With a passion for rough water, surf, and the graceful art of the kayak roll, he quickly found that paddling was more than a sport — it was a lifelong adventure. After 25 years spent teaching healthcare professionals, he now shares that same spirit of discovery as a certified Level 1 and Rolling Instructor, helping others fall in love with kayaking just as he did.
Most days, you’ll find him gliding across the Great Lakes, weaving between islands, chasing surf, or playing in the lively currents of the Niagara River. Having paddled both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans this year, he’s discovered a new fascination — rock gardening — and set his sights on his next great adventure: paddling the wild beauty of Baja.
And if you ask him where he feels most at home in his kayak? He’ll tell you — it’s upside down.
